Mohd Rafi - a legend

Though this song is shot in Darjeeling, every scene, every expression, every word reminds me of Kashmir, not sure why, may be the missing Pheran is the clue :)-

Cheers!

Clapton / Knopfler - Layla

If you ever wish to see two God's playing musical instruments, check out the song below.

Cheers, no words, just pure bliss!

I'm on fire - Bruce Springsteen

A live version of the song which I like so much. I'm on fire by Bruce Springsteen.
I still remember back in 2015 post completion of Auden's Col trek, listening to this song repeatedly. We were in the hills, Kaddukhal, I was playing this song, we came down to the plains - Rishikesh, we were still playing this song.

Cheers,

Goo Goo Dolls - Long way down

This one featured on the sound track of Twister - year 1995.. Can't believe this song is so ahead of its ages. Probably if released now, would have won grammy :)

Cheers

Black balloon - Goo Goo Dolls

Another song of Goo Goo Dolls which I like. Needs talent to compose like this, especially with violins/drums/guitar all playing in sync. Needs exceptional talent :)

Cheers,

Amigone - Live - Goo Goo Dolls

This is a very difficult song to song :)-
One member from the audience tries to sing along, 2:15 onwards, just resonates how much people like the song :)
Cheers,

Amigone - Goo Goo Dolls

This song by Robby Takac is fantastic.. There exists a version of this song sung at a concert.
Will share that later, cheers,

Crash into me - Dave Matthews Band

Dave Matthews Band - Crash into me,
There is a live version which I shall share as well shortly

Here is gone - Goo Goo Dolls

There are few bands which I like. Few are very close to my heart. They cheer me up, on days when I am down. One such band is Goo Goo Dolls.

I remember I was introduced to Goo Goo Dolls only in 2002. Their album Gutter Flower was out and there was a song on the radio which was playing continuously. It opened up a whole lot of thoughts in my mind. And almost 18 years later, here I am, writing about them, as their songs continue to influence me in every positive way.

A big load of thanks to Goo Goo Dolls.

I still remember that, I used to scratch out the name Goo Goo Dolls on our classroom benches, and scribble the same on our class room board using chalk pieces. Such were the days! and now they are gone. Below is one of the songs by them, will share more! with stories to remember of course..

Cheers,
Sandeep

Songblog - song bird

I had an idea of song blog, since probably over a decade, it has materialized a couple of times, only to be left dormant. I hope I pick it up a third time.

Sharing one of my favorite songs as the first song.. This song is by Christine McVie / Fleetwood Mac. I had in my mind that this has to be the first ever song, if I ever had a song blog.

Here it goes!
In case the song gets taken down from youtube sometime later, I need to revisit the URL :)- Until then!

cheers,
